An all time great, very "French" site in a lovely pine wood setting. A magnificent sandy beach is no more than a 20 minute pleasant amble through the woods.

The extensive, lively resort of La Tranche is a couple of kilometres away whilst the fascinating ancient town La Rochelle is within an hour ( on the way, try to find the time to visit the attractive lakeside village of Mervent and restored medieval village of Vouvant). From La Rochelle take the car over the majestic bridge to the ultra-pretty Ile de Re.
